Christophe Michaels is the founder of Ricerca Labs. He founded Owner Operator Training Academy in 2020, and he still drives.
Every Ricerca product is built from the driver's seat.

From the academy to the company

- The story starts with the academy. Christophe Michaels founded Owner Operator Training Academy in 2020, and it has trained drivers ever since. Today it is a Ricerca Labs program: a six-month, tuition-free paid apprenticeship for CDL-A drivers with two or more years of experience.

- Ricerca Labs is the data science and software development company behind every product. Its work follows one standard: clean the data, prove every number, and explain it plainly.

- That standard runs through each business. The Owner Operator App keeps an owner-operator's paperwork and money straight, with Laya, the co-pilot, to explain the numbers. The Honest Load Board posts every load at an all-in price that only rises until it is booked. The Elite Fleet matches carriers that have idle trucks with screened, trained drivers. Any business that wants to run on its own numbers can use the same data science through our services.
